Hry woman’s beau kills her 2 sons & dumps them in UP

Lucknow: A 34-year-old man, Nitin Kumar, was arrested by Haryana police in Sonipat on Friday for allegedly kidnapping and killing his lover’s children — aged 7 and 10 years — and dumping the bodies about 25km away near his native village in UP’s Baghpat.

The two minors had gone missing while on their way to govt school two days ago in Sonipat and were found murdered in a sugarcane field in Baghpat on Friday morning, police said.

The victims’ mother, Ruby Devi, 35, who works at a Sonipat factory, had separated from her husband, Rahul Kumar, around seven years ago and was now living with Nitin Kumar, whom she met at her workplace, in Adarsh Nagar in Sonipat.

Baghpat’s circle officer Harish Singh Bhadauriya said, “Haryana police had come looking for the children’s remains here and we assisted them. The bodies were recovered from a farm in Gauripur village of Baghpat. The cops then took the bodies with them. A case was registered against the accused under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 365 (kidnapping) in Sonipat.”

Initially, the woman suspected her ex-husband’s role and filed a case of kidnapping against him in Sonipat. She also met the children’s school teachers and found that the boys didn’t turn up for class on Feb 21.

When Sonipat cops went to investigate the matter, they found Kumar trying to flee from the terrace of his house. ACP Sonipat, Nar Singh, “Kumar fell from the roof and injured his leg. He was admitted to hospital, and during questioning confessed to have committed the crime. He told police that he wanted to marry Ruby, but didn’t want to take the responsibility of the children. So, he took them for a ride on his bike to Baghpat and used a motorcycle clutch wire to slit their throat.”

“We also came to know that after her separation, the woman started living with Kumar and her two children in the same house in Sonipat’s Adarsh Nagar. No evidence was found against her so far,” the ACP added.
