ICC ODI Rankings: For the first time since 2019, three Indian batsmen are in the top-10, Gill achieved the best ranking of his career.

Indian players who performed wonders in the Asia Cup have also made huge gains in the ICC rankings. Shubman Gill has come to second place in the ranking of batsmen. Rohit and Kohli are also included in the top 10 players.

Indian players have made huge gains in the latest ICC rankings. Team India has shown a brilliant performance in the Asia Cup 2023 and the players who have performed well during this period have made a big jump in the ICC rankings. Shubman Gill, who scored 154 runs with two half-centuries in the Asia Cup, has reached his career-best second ranking. He can top the ranking of batsmen in ODI in the coming time.
Babar Azam, who is at the top, has 863 points, while Gill is 103 points behind him with 759 rating points. Apart from Gill, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have also gained two places each and both the legends have joined the top 10 batsmen. Kohli is at eighth position and Rohit is at ninth position. For the first time in more than four and a half years, three Indian batsmen have been successful in making it to the top 10 in the ICC rankings. Earlier in January 2019, India’s Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were in the top 10. Currently, Pakistan also has three players in the top 10 batsmen, Imam-ul-Haq has dropped one place to fifth position and Fakhar Zaman has dropped three places to 10th position.

India’s experienced spinner Kuldeep Yadav has also gained in ODI rankings. In the Asia Cup, he has taken nine wickets and has moved up to seventh position with a gain of five places. Hardik Pandya has improved four places to sixth place in the all-rounder rankings. Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has moved up eight places to 21st position and Naseem Shah has moved up 11 places to 51st position.

Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has taken his lead at the top of the ODI bowler rankings after taking three wickets in the first match of the series against South Africa.

South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj has moved up 10 places to 25th and Tabraiz Shamsi has moved up 15 places to 29th. Among batsmen, Temba Bavuma has moved up 21 places to reach 11th position. Australia’s veteran David Warner moved up one place to fourth, while Travis Head moved up six places to 20th in the same list.

New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips has moved up three places to 11th in the T20 batsmen’s rankings, while Tim Seifert has moved up 32 places to 21st and Mark Chapman has moved up six places to 23rd. Among bowlers, Mitchell Santner has moved up four places to 15th and Ish Sodhi has moved up four places to 16th. England’s experienced Jonny Bairstow is at 30th position in the list of batsmen with an improvement of 31 places.
