Another cyclone is about to hit the country. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert. The low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjacent South Andaman Sea has now become active and has turned into a low pressure area. After this, there are indications of it gradually moving west-northwestwards and turning into a low pressure area over south-east Bay of Bengal by 30 November. It is being told that by December 1, there is a possibility of turning into a cyclonic storm ‘Michang’ over the south-east Bay of Bengal. Due to this Michang storm, warnings of heavy rain have been issued in many states.
