In connection with the Somnath Temple, Congress has commented on the BJP, stating that Nehru’s letters are publicly available.

Congress has countered the claims made by BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi, stating that former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru opposed the connection of Somnath Temple with then President Rajendra Prasad. The party asserted that Nehru was entirely transparent in his approach. Congress General Secretary Jayaram Ramesh, in a post on social media, stated that Sudhanshu Trivedi had distorted some letters of Pandit Nehru related to the Somnath Temple.
