A bill has been introduced in the Lok Sabha to extend the National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Act, which provides protection to unauthorized constructions in authorized and unauthorized colonies in the national capital Delhi, for three years. The bill does not propose an extension of the cutoff date for this law, leaving the sword of action hanging over unauthorized constructions that have taken place in the past eight to nine years.”
