The National Commission for Backward Classes has informed that the Muslim community in Karnataka is being provided reservation in educational institutions and jobs. The commission also stated that all castes and communities of Muslims in Karnataka are being provided reservation in government jobs and educational institutions. However, the Karnataka government has not provided any clarification on this matter to the commission.
