In the construction of Uttarakhand state, maternal power has played a significant role. Among the total of over 83.21 lakh voters in the state, the number of women exceeds 40.12 lakh. Women have made a significant contribution to economic empowerment, ranging from agriculture in mountainous districts to small and medium enterprises and self-help groups. In the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress has actively engaged in empowering women.
