Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that in the last one year, 188 policemen made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty to maintain the security and law and order of the country.
Shah said the country will never forget the sacrifice of the martyrs’ families. “In the last one year, from September 1, 2022, to August 31, 2023, 188 police personnel have laid down their lives in maintaining security and law and order in the country,” he said after paying tribute to the personnel at the National Police Memorial here on Police Remembrance Day.
