In Uttar Pradesh, there may be a ban on the illicit practice of issuing ‘halal certificates’ to food and beauty products without proper authorization. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken note of this nefarious attempt to manipulate religious sentiments, create animosity between communities, and fund terrorist organizations and anti-national activities through the misuse of counterfeit documents in the name of halal certification. Stringent action has been directed to curb this illegal earnings. There is a concern that illegal proceeds, gathered by exploiting fabricated documents, are being used for funding terrorist organizations and activities against the nation. Additionally, an FIR has been filed in the Lucknow Commissionerate.
