Income Tax Department Raids: On Thursday, October 5, the Income Tax Department conducted searches at more than 40 locations connected to DMK Member of Parliament S. Jagathrakshakan. Income Tax officials carried out the search operation in Chennai’s T-Nagar area. Prior to this, on Wednesday, October 4, the Enforcement Directorate had conducted a raid at the official residence of Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha Member Sanjay Singh, following which he was arrested.
