India and Germany have emphasized enhancing defense cooperation as a main pillar in their bilateral strategic relations. Indian delegation led by Defense Secretary Giridhar Aramane, while German delegation led by Foreign Secretary of Defense Ministry Benedict Zimmer, held discussions on several bilateral security and defense issues. They also discussed regional security matters.
