Their purpose was to effectively address the contentious Ukraine conflict and ultimately secure an agreement that was successfully reached on the inaugural day of the G20 Leaders Summit.
Kant emphasized that the most intricate aspect of the entire G20 negotiations revolved around attaining consensus on geopolitical matters, notably the Russia-Ukraine situation. This remarkable achievement was the result of an arduous process involving more than 200 hours of non-stop negotiations, a total of 300 bilateral meetings, and the presentation of 15 drafts.
