Jaishankar met Vietnamese Foreign Minister, issued golden jubilee ticket of diplomatic relations

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son on Monday and they discussed increasing cooperation between the two countries in areas like trade, energy, defense and maritime security. The two also discussed the Indo-Pacific region amid China’s aggressive behavior in the region. Jaishankar and the Foreign Minister of Vietnam jointly released a commemorative stamp to mark 50 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Vietnam.

“The stamps depicting Kalaripatta and Vovinam show our shared love for sports,” he said in a post on social media platform ‘X’. And also celebrate the strong cultural, social and people-to-people ties between India and Vietnam.” External Affairs Minister Jaishankar reached Vietnam on Sunday.
