Sikandarpur Highway Mishap: Container Truck Collides with Roadways Bus, 20 Injured, 13 Hospitalized”
A container truck collided with a roadways bus near the overbridge in Sikandarpur, resulting in 20 people getting injured, out of which 13 have been admitted to the hospital.The incident occurred around 11:30 PM on Sunday.
The bus driver, Tejaram Singh, a resident of Bevar in Mainpuri district, was heading to Delhi from the Fazalganj Depot with passengers onboard when the accident happened.The container truck driver attempted to overtake, leading to the collision.
The injured passengers were rushed to the 100 Shaiya Hospital in Nagla Dilu for treatment.
The bus carried around 40 passengers at the time of the accident, including the conductor Ravindra Kumar, a resident of Kasganj, and Ramgopal’s son from Tarsi. The container truck, moving at high speed, caused the bus to swerve, resulting in the collision.After the accident, the container driver fled the scene.
The police have registered a case after receiving statements from the injured parties and are investigating the matter.
