These things are related to Chandrayaan Mission-1, Prof. Scientist of Earth Science Department of IIT Kanpur. Deepak Dhingra told in a special conversation with Amar Ujala. Pro. Deepak is doing many research related to the lunar surface. He will also analyze the data sent by ISRO after the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3.
Pro. Dhingra told that at present he and his team are searching for ice on the poles of the Moon. He said that if there are ice rocks in the earth, then why not in the moon, just now the answer to this question is being sought. If water is obtained from ice, then it will be useful for hydrogen fuel.
Why will the research station be built
Professor Dhingra told that a lot of fuel has to be spent to go from the Earth’s orbit to the Moon or to any other planet. By building a research station on the moon, it will be easier to go to other planets. With this, the distance of other planets will be known.
That’s why potable water is being searched
Pro. Dhingra said that there is a multitude of satellite radio frequencies around the earth. There is neither satellite nor radio frequency around the moon. If you look through a telescope on the Moon, you can see a new universe. This is the reason why potable water is being sought on the moon.
That’s why Chandrayaan will take 40 days
Neil Armstrong reached the moon within four days, but on the question of Chandrayaan reaching the moon in 40 days, Prof. Dhingra said that it is all about fuel economy. Short trips require a lot of fuel. The help of gravity assist system is being taken to push Chandrayaan towards the Moon. That’s why it is taking longer.
