On Monday, on the occasion of Kartik Purnima, thousands paid their respects to Mother Ganga by taking a holy dip. Devotees, from Bithoor in Kanpur to the Saraiya Ghat, chanted “Jai Ganga Maiya” while performing the sacred ritual of bathing. The Brahmavart Ghat in Bithoor witnessed the highest gathering for the ritualistic bath.
