In May this year, during the Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections, a Hindi woman activist associated with the BJP allegedly swindled an industrialist of 4 crores in the name of securing a party ticket. The police have arrested activist Chaitra Kundapura on charges of cheating the victim, Govinda Babu, whenever she called him to Bangalore.
