The CBI team initiated a raid on Monday at the residence of Meera Haldar, the former president of Diamond Harbour Municipality, in the parliamentary constituency of Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. CBI officials had questioned Firaad Hakeem for nearly 930 hours and Madan Mitra for about 630 hours. In connection with the municipal recruitment scandal, the CBI has launched a search operation at six locations in three districts of West Bengal.
