Accused Also Applied Chili Powder To Their Pvt Parts: Police
Lucknow: Two minors were allegedly thrashed, made to drink urine and chilli powder was applied to their private parts in Siddharthnagar after they were accused of stealing chicken from a poultry farm in the district. Police said that six accused were arrested while raids were going on to nab two others named in the FIR.
The incident came to light only on Saturday after its video went viral in local WhatsApp groups of some college students in Siddharthnagar.
A police constable who was also a member of the group immediately informed his seniors and a police team led by a cyber unit got on the case. All the police outposts in-charges in the district and circle offices worked together to trace the place where it had happened.
Doomariyaganj circle officer Sujit Rai said, “Based on the video, we traced the poultry shop located at the Konkati crossing under Pathra Bazar police station of the district.”
“A police team reached the poultry shop and found that the person who had indulged in the savagery, as spotted in the video, was there. Initially, the man, identified as Mohammed Saud, denied the charges, but later when he was confronted with the video as evidence where the colour of his shirt and slippers matched too, the accused gave in,” said Rai.
The CO said that he was taken to the police station and interrogated, during which he admitted that on Thursday noon, two minors, aged 10 and 14, had barged into his shop when he was meeting a customer outside.
“The two first picked up chickens and then began tampering with the cash box. Luckily, my aides who were outside the shop and I chased and nabbed them,” said Saud in his confession to the police.
“We wanted to teach the two a lesson,” Saud told the police, identifying his other aides as Abdul, Ubaid, Akib, Pappu and Deepak Gupta.
The CO said that a team reached the residence of the two minors, following which the mother of the 14-year-old lodged an FIR. All the six, including Saud, were arrested.
“We registered an FIR under the charges of IPC 307 (attempt to murder), 377 (unnatural sex), and charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012,” the CO said.
The officer said that the parents of the two minors worked as labourers.
