Lucknow: In the third phase, BJP has fielded State Tourism and Culture Minister Jayveer Singh against SP’s current MP Dimple Yadav in Mainpuri. Jayveer is a BJP MLA from Mainpuri. The SP has held Mainpuri seat since 1996, but BJP has yet to win here. However, BJP succeeded in winning two assembly constituencies of this Lok Sabha seat in the 2022 assembly elections. It remains to be seen if Jayveer can capture the Mainpuri seat for the BJP.
