
The Energy Department is undertaking various initiatives at the ground level to provide uninterrupted and improved electricity supply to consumers in the state. Under the Central Government’s Rs. 17,000 crore R-APDRP scheme, efforts are being made to revamp the infrastructure according to the energy needs of the state. This was stated by Energy Minister A.K. Sharma. He mentioned that work is being done to replace worn-out lines and electricity poles. The capacity of substations, feeders, and transformers is being increased in line with the increasing electricity load in the state. This will provide relief to consumers from tripping issues.
