
Lucknow: A one-and-a-half-year-old child named Lucky proved to be really lucky for his life when he survived after being run over by a car.
The incident, which took place at Old Shivli road in Kalyanpur area of the City on Tuesday night came to light after a video clip of the same went viral on Social media on Thursday.
The video clip, procured from CCTV footage installed in the area, shows the child walking on the street alone unaware of the approaching car.
Suddenly, a car from the opposite direction hit the child and ran over him. However, the child miraculously survived and managed to stand up on his own shortly after being hit by the car and was seen walking away.
Ram Chandra, who lives at Old Shivli road in Kalyanpur area with his wife and sells Momos said that they were blessed with a son about one-and-a-half-year ago.
They named him Lucky.
“And his name proved on Tuesday that their child is really lucky in real life too. Otherwise a car that ran over him and he survived is very rare,” he said and added, “Lucky, fell on the ground when the car hit him from front, he however emerged safely as soon as the car passed by. He then got back up on his feet almost instantly and walked away from the spot.”
At present, the CCTV video of the incident has gone viral on the Social media, which has taken everyone by surprise.
The netizens are terming the incident to be a miracle, besides venting their anger and demanding severest punishment for the car driver.
One among them said, “The car driver was completely blind or unconscious that he did not see the child, he should be given the harshest punishment.”
According to the information, the treatment of the child is going on in a private hospital.
He has sustained minor injuries.
At the same time, the police have also been informed about the incident, but the family members have not yet given any kind of complaint in connection with the incident. Inspector Kalyanpur Dhananjay Pandey, however, said that a boy named Krishna was driving the car. “If the complaint comes, action will be taken against him,” the official added.
