The tremor sparked panic in various regions, prompting people to quickly seek safety outdoors. The National Center for Seismology shared that this event was felt across the entire North-east India and transpired on Monday evening. The earthquake, originating 49 kilometers southeast of Cherrapunjee in Meghalaya, struck at 8:19 PM, causing a ripple of panic in some areas. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported as of now. The earthquake’s depth was recorded at 16 kilometers.
