
Lucknow: In a case similar to that of Jyoti Maurya of Prayagraj, a resident of Pukhrayan township in Kanpur Dehat district has accused his wife of cheating on him after becoming a nurse.
Ramkumar of Deegh village of Bhognipur Kotwali police area said that his wife cheated on him and refused to live together. He give a complaint in the district magistrate’s office on Wednesday, pleading that justice should be done to him.
He is a truck driver by profession.
He stated in his complaint that in 2002, he was married to a girl from Kadaura area of Jalaun district. After marriage, his wife expressed her desire to study and do a job. Seeing her desire to study, he got her admitted to a nursing college in Ballia. He even took a loan to fulfill his wife’s wish despite the monetary constraints.
He said that even today he is paying the installment of that loan. “She got a job after the nursing course. Thereafter, she made a distance with me. She went to her maternal home and refused to live with me. One day she returned with the children but again left with all her belongings,” he alleged.
“Subsequentially, she cut off all contacts with me,” he said, adding, “She came here three years back, just after my father’s death. After that she went back and never returned.”
He said that he requested her to stay with him but she refused and returned to her maternal place.
DM Neha Jain said, “Once I receive the application, action will be initiated and we will try to resolve the issue.”
