Lucknow: In a sensational revelation, the body of a 25-year-old man, who had gone missing a few days ago, was found buried in an isolated plot in Jhansi on Thursday. He was murdered by the husband of his lover and their relatives.
As per the details, the deceased Santosh Srivastava alias Golu was a taxi driver and lived in Taj compound, Nandanpura falling under Sipri Bazar police station. On June 30, he had left home on pretext of some work in Kanpur but never returned.
As per information, Santosh had gone to meet his lover who once lived in his neighbourhood but married to one Avdesh and started living in Orai. Somehow, Avdesh came to know about the affair and caught them red handed. He then called his brother-in-law Mayank, father-in-law Ramswaroop, along with his other relatives Deepak and Sharad.
They took Santosh to their residence in Pichore in Jhansi and subsequently murdered him on July 1. Later, they buried his body in an isolated plot opposite to their home.
Meanwhile, Santosh’s wife lodged a missing person’s complaint at Sipri Bazar police station on July 3 and also informed about a call coming on his mobile phone frequently. Police traced the call in Orai and interrogated the woman and her husband Avdesh, who later on admitted about the crime and revealed the entire incident on Thursday.
Police took Avdesh, Mayank and Ramswaroop to the spot and recovered the body. As per SO Sipri Bazar, four culprits have been arrested while Deepak is absconding. A case has been lodged against them under section 302, 323, 342, 120B, 201 IPC.
