March 6 is associated with the name of former Prime Minister of the country Chandrashekhar. He resigned from the post of Prime Minister on 6 March 1991. Chandrashekhar joined the socialist movement during his student days at Allahabad University. He was the President of Janata Party from 1977 to 1988.
