Mobile Phones Banned in New Delhi’s Private and Government Schools

The Directorate of Education has urged parents to ensure that their children do not bring mobile phones to school premises. If students do bring phones, schools must have adequate arrangements for device security. This advisory is applicable to all government and private schools in Delhi. The Directorate of Education (DOE) announced on Thursday that mobile phones are strictly banned in classrooms of both Delhi’s government and private institutions. This directive also extends to teachers and staff, expecting them to refrain from using mobile phones in areas like classrooms, sports fields, laboratories, and libraries, where educational activities take place. Parents are also encouraged to ensure that their children do not bring mobile phones to school premises.
