Lucknow: A joint team of UP STF and Mumbai arrested murder accused Nagina Kol alias Chunky from Halia police station area of Mirzapur district on Friday.The murder had taken place in 2016.
According to police, a murder case was registered at Panvel City police station in 2016 in connection with the murder of one Dharmchand Kol. On receiving information about the wanted accused Nagina hiding in Mirzapur, the Panvel police sought help from STF of Uttar Pradesh police. A team led by the inspector Amit Srivastava of STF Field Unit, Varanasi along with Panvel City police were collecting information at local level. Acting on a tip-off about the presence of the accused in Halia area, the police conducted a raid and arrested Nagina on Friday.
During interrogation, it was revealed that accused Nagina and deceased Dharmchand belonged to the same family and they had a land dispute. Both of them worked as labourers at a crusher plant in Panvel City Kundewar. On March 24, 2016, Nagina had killed Dharmchand over the land dispute.
