Neeraj Chopra, World Champion, Secures Second Place in Zurich Diamond League

Neeraj Chopra, the recently crowned world champion, demonstrated a solid performance but fell short of his peak form, securing second place with a final-round throw of 85.71m in the men’s javelin event at the Diamond League Meeting held here on Thursday.At 25 years of age, Chopra, also the reigning Olympic champion, achieved three valid throws of 80.79m, 85.22m, and 85.71m, while the remaining three attempts resulted in fouls. He trailed behind Jakub Vadlejch (85.86m) of the Czech Republic, who had previously earned a bronze medal in the World Championships.
