Nepal, Norway climber honored for setting new world record
Kathmandu, A Nepali and a Norwegian mountaineer were honored on Saturday for setting a new world record by becoming the fastest climbers to scale all 14 of the world’s 14 peaks above 8,000 meters in three months.

Both Kristin Harila and Tenzen (Lama) Sherpa were welcomed by Nepal’s Deputy Tourism Minister Sushila Shirpali Thakuri upon their return to Kathmandu. Both had completed the climb of Pakistan’s K-2 mountain peak 10 days ago.
