Thousands of people from Nepal and India sacrificed more than 15 thousand goats on the eighth and ninth day of Dashain festival at Rajdevi temple located in Janakpur city of Nepal. Temple officials gave this information on Monday.
Dashain is a 10-day festival celebrated all over Nepal to worship Goddess Durga and Vijay Dashami is the last day of the festival. The eighth and ninth days of the festival are celebrated as Ashtami and Navami and both the days are considered equal. People sacrifice animals on both days.
