New Delhi: The protest by farmers continues over the demand for a guarantee on MSP. On Wednesday, farmers attempted to march towards Delhi. Clash erupted between farmers and security forces at Shambhu and Khanauri borders. Protests turned violent at several places. Demonstrators attempted to break barricades. Police fired tear gas and rubber bullets to stop them. At Shambhu border, police detained 20 to 25 farmers. Nearly 40 farmers are reported injured. Meanwhile, a farmer died at the Khanauri border. During the farmers’ agitation in Tohana, Fatehabad district, a police officer deployed on duty lost his life. The impact of the protest was also observed in Delhi. Heavy traffic jams were witnessed on many roads in the capital.
