New Delhi: The East Delhi Lok Sabha seat has been quite fortunate for both the Congress and the BJP. Both parties have had their dominance here alternately. Interestingly, from its establishment in 1966 until 2019, Congress always contested elections on this seat. However, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, for the first time, no Congress candidate will contest on this seat. The reason? The opposition alliance has allocated this seat to the Aam Aadmi Party.
