The number of Nipah virus cases is continuously increasing in the country. Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has also become vigilant about it. ICMR Director-General Dr. Rajiv Bahal has declared Nipah virus to be more lethal than COVID-19. He stated that the mortality rate for COVID-19 was only 2-3%, while the mortality rate for Nipah virus is 40-70%.”
