
Chennai, June 27 (IANS) Malayalam star Nivin Pauly’s 50th film, which is to be directed by ace director Aphonse Puthren, has now been titled ‘Vijayam’.
Taking to his X timeline to share a teaser to announce the title of the film, Nivin Pauly wrote, “Every great ride begins with a little faith..and someone willing to take the first turn with you. Back with the friend who started this journey with me. Presenting the official first look poster in Malayalam , English and Tamil of #Vijayam. A @puthrenalphonse Film. #MalayalamCinema #alphonseputhren.”
The teaser begins with Aphonse Puthren seen stranded on a narrow pathway with fields on either side of it. The fields have giant windmills on them. A little while later, a series of bike riders zoom past the ace director. However, none of them bother to stop to give him a lift.
After a point, small insects crawling up the pathway catch the attention of the director who settles down to capture them on his phone. That is when Nivin Pauly arrives on a bike and gives him a tight slap. When the director asks him what he is doing here, Nivin Pauly, points to himself in motorcycle gear, and asks, “Don’t you get it?” When the director replies in the negative, he asks him to come along and the two of them then ride off. The teaser then has the film’s title Vijayam appearing.
Alphonse Puthren, who has written the story for this film, will not only be directing this film but will also be editing it himself. The film is being produced by Tonson Tony, Sunil Ramady on behalf of Pauly Jr Pictures.
Cinematography for the film is to be handled by Shinoz and music for the film is to be scored by Steve Kottoor. Vishnu Govind has been assigned the responsibilities pertaining to the film’s sound design and mix.
Art direction for the film is to be handled by Rakhil while costumes are by Melwy J
Sandeep Kumar. P has been named the co-director of the film.
