Lucknow: A case of fraud of Rs 65 lakh has come to the fore on the pretext of getting investment into real estate trade from a Kanpur man. The man identified as Romi Singh has filed a report against the Noida builder.
Romi Singh is the Director of Unified Capital Solutions Private Limited Company. Romi alleged that he had business relations with Ramesh Dev Verma, a resident of Delhi’s Shrestha Vihar.
He is the director of VSR Company, located in Ecotech, Greater Noida, while his son Neelaksh is the co-director of the company. As per the complainant -Romi Singh, in the year 2013, Ramesh came to his house with his son. “He said that his company is preparing a project to build flats in Greater Noida, but he is running short of money,” he mentioned in his complaint.
He further said that he offered that if he invests 90 lakh rupees in his company for some time, then he will return his money along with the profit. “Otherwise the registry of flats will be done instead of investment,” he added.
Thereafter, Romi Singh, transferred Rs 90 lakh to company account of Verma, but when work on the project did not start for a long time, Romi asked Verma for his money, the latter however returned him only Rs 25 lakh of the total 90 lakh.
Romi then met Commissioner of Police BP Jogdand, who directed Nazirabad police to lodge an FIR and investigate the matter.
Station House Officer Nazirabad Kaushalendra Pratap Singh said that the case is being investigated by registering a report on the victim’s complaint.
