Nora al-Matrooshi just became the first Arab woman to graduate from NASA’s astronaut training programme,

Nora al-Matrooshi, hailing from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is a trailblazing figure in the field of space exploration. Born in 1993, she holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the United Arab Emirates University. Prior to her selection for the NASA astronaut program, Nora worked as an engineer at the UAE’s National Petroleum Construction Company.
