The National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled the crucial dates for several prominent entrance exams in India for the academic year 2024-25.
As per the announcement by NTA, the Joint Entrance Examination – Main Session 1 (JEE-Main Session 1) is scheduled to occur from January 24, 2024, to February 1, 2024. JEE Main Session 2 will follow, taking place between April 1, 2024, and April 15, 2024. Both sessions of JEE Main will be conducted in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET), administered in the pen-and-paper/OMR format, is slated for May 5, 2024.
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs will take place in separate months. CUET UG is scheduled for May 15 to May 31, 2024, while CUET PG is set to occur between March 11 and March 28, 2024, in the CBT mode. Registration dates for the undergraduate entrance exams have not yet been disclosed.
The University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), which enables candidates to qualify for the post of assistant professorship and junior research fellowships, will be conducted from June 10 to June 21, 2024.
UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar has indicated that results for CUET PG, UG, and UGC-NET will be announced within three weeks following the conclusion of the respective tests.
