On Sunday, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo affirmed that the United States will refrain from supplying advanced, cutting-edge chips to the Chinese military.

“We are actively working to limit their military capabilities. If they perceive it that way, it indicates the effectiveness of our strategy. During my tenure, we have no intentions of providing China with the highly sophisticated American chips they seek for their military needs,” Raimondo stated during her appearances on several Sunday talk shows, including NBC News.

Raimondo, a prominent member of the Biden Administration’s Cabinet, recently traveled to China following months of escalating tensions between the world’s two largest economies.
