

Flood water has entered many houses in Sahibabad’s Karheda. Sahibabad’s Assistant Commissioner of Police Bhaskar Verma said on Sunday that the Hindon river, a tributary of Yamuna, is in spate due to release of water from dams and its water has entered several colonies located in Karheda village. He said that the team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Sahibabad Police have taken out more than 50 people from the affected colonies of Karheda village through motor boats to safer places. Verma said that due to the floods, the embankment near the City Forest has been breached and most of the area and several colonies in the vicinity have been submerged.
