The swimming pair of Veerdhawal and Rujuta Khade broke the National Games record here on Tuesday and were adjudged the fastest swimmers in the 37th phase of the tournament.
Veerdhawal is the 2010 Asian Games bronze medalist, winning the gold medal by beating Karnataka’s Srihari Nataraj with a timing of 22.82 seconds.
