Patna: With the cold, hospitals are witnessing an increase in emergency cases, including patients with brain strokes, heart attacks, and fractures. Dr. Subhash Chandra, Director of LNJP Hospital, and Dr. AK Jha, former President of Cardiology Society of India, Bihar branch, explained that one significant reason is the sudden exposure to cold while repeatedly needing to use the bathroom at night. Getting out of bed and entering the cold environment of the bathroom can increase the risk of brain and heart strokes. In this sequence, several elderly individuals are slipping and getting injured in the bathroom.
