
Lucknow: Police have arrested a female receptionist and a man in connection with the gang-rape of a 15-year-old girl at a hotel in Aligarh. The survivor, a Class 10 student, was allegedly abducted by the hotel owner and his relative while she was on her way to school on Wednesday. Two other individuals were involved in the rape, according to the girl’s father, who filed a police complaint.
A 28-year-old female receptionist and another individual have been apprehended, and the administration has sealed the hotel. An FIR has been registered under IPC Section 376 D (gangrape) and the provisions of the Prevention of Children Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.
The incident came to light when the victim’s uncle noticed her scooter outside the hotel two hours after she left for school. Concerned, he attempted to locate her, but the hotel staff allegedly attacked him when he tried to enter the premises.
The family members of the girl claim she was lured by an unidentified man who took her to a hotel room, where she was subjected to gang rape. Among those arrested is Neeraj Sharma (45), a relative of the hotel owner Ved Prakash Sharma. Ved Prakash Sharma and another local youth, who is also implicated, are absconding. Police are trying to identify and apprehend the remaining two accused.
Further investigation revealed that the youth had taken the girl to the hotel on several occasions in the past and raped her. During the inquiry, it was discovered that the hotel staff was complicit in the actions of the youth, according to a police official.
