The Press Club of India (PCI) on Monday condemned the filing of an FIR against the members of the fact-finding committee of the Editors Guild of India, which studied the media coverage of caste violence in Manipur.
“This is a case of targeting the messenger instead of taking steps to restore peace in the state,” the PCI said in a statement here. We demand that the FIR against Editors Guild of India President Seema Mustafa and its three members be immediately withdrawn.
