If you use Gravatar, an anonymized string generated from your email (hash) may be shared. After comment approval, your profile picture is visible with your comment.

When you upload images, ensure they don’t contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Others can download and extract location data from images on our site.

4. Cookies

Commenters may opt-in to save their name, email, and website in cookies for convenience (lasts for one year).
Our login page sets a temporary cookie to check your browser’s cookie acceptance (discarded upon browser closure).
Logging in sets cookies for login and display choices (lasts for two days to a year). “Remember Me” extends login for two weeks.
Editing or publishing an article creates a cookie with no personal data, expiring after one day.

5. Embedded Content

Content from other sites (e.g., videos, images) behaves as if you visited the other site, potentially collecting data and using cookies. Check their privacy policies.

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

Comments and metadata are retained indefinitely to auto-approve follow-up comments.

Registered users can edit or delete their personal data. Administrators can also access and edit this information.

If you have an account or left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data or request its erasure. Legal, security, or administrative data won’t be erased.
