Rahul Gandhi, a former president of Congress party, embarked on a spiritual journey to the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Monday. During his visit, he immersed himself in ‘seva,’ a form of voluntary service, by personally offering water to devotees and meticulously cleaning their bowls.
With a humble blue scarf adorning his head, the former Congress leader paid his respects at the hallowed sanctum sanctorum of the Golden Temple, an iconic spiritual site.
In addition to his visit to the Golden Temple, Rahul Gandhi also made a reverential stop at the Akal Takht, the highest spiritual authority for Sikhs. Here, he earnestly engaged in ‘seva’ by tending to the water bowls used by the devoted pilgrims, exemplifying the values of humility and service.
