New Delhi, Sep 17; Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman, Jagdeep Dhankhar, performed the flag hoisting ceremony at the new Parliament building in the capital on Sunday. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla joined him in hoisting the flag atop the “Gaja Dwar” of the new Parliament building.
This ceremony precedes the start of the five-day Parliament session, commencing on Monday. During this session, there may be a transition of parliamentary proceedings from the old Parliament building to the adjacent new one.
