Rajya Sabha Election 2024: The Samajwadi Party has decided to send Jaya Bachchan to the Rajya Sabha for the fifth consecutive time. Former Union Minister and SP’s National General Secretary Ramji Lal Suman, and Alok Ranjan, who served as Chief Secretary in the Akhilesh government, have also been nominated as Rajya Sabha candidates. The SP has expressed confidence in Dalit leader Ramji Lal Suman for the PD candidate (backward Dalit minority) in the Rajya Sabha.
