In a statement on Thursday, H. A. Iqbal Hussain, a Congress MLA from Karnataka, asserted that Lord Ram is a deity for his family, and he considers himself a devotee of Lord Ram. The legislator from Ramnagar also mentioned that he intends to celebrate Ramotsav (the festival of Lord Ram) in a grand yet secular manner. Hussain told reporters, “I have already stated that I am a devotee of Lord Ram.”
