The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) on Friday termed the alleged multi-crore rupee ration distribution scam in West Bengal as an organized crime and said that the arrested state minister Jyotipri Malik has been arrested for investigating the flow of money related to the case. Information about transactions should be shared.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday arrested Malik in a money laundering case related to the alleged ration distribution scam. Malik had the responsibility of Food and Supplies Department from 2011 to 2021.
